SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Amends "An Act making appropriations", Public Act 95-348, if and only if certain appropriations to the Supreme Court in that Public Act that were reduced by the Governor are not restored to their original amounts.  Increases those appropriations to their original amounts.  Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  "An Act making appropriations", Public Act 95-348, approved with items vetoed and reduced on August 23, 2007, is amended, if and only if the items in Sections 20, 25, and 30 of Article 150 of Public Act 95-348 that were reduced by the Governor are not restored to their original amounts, by changing Sections 20, 25, and 30 of Article 150 as follows:

    Sec. 20.  The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the Supreme Court for ordinary and contingent expenses of the Circuit Court:

For Circuit Clerks' Additional Duties............. 663,000

For Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act 337,500 324,500

For Probation Reimbursements......... 62,454,600 60,052,500

For Personal Services:

  Circuit Court Personnel........................ 1,652,600

For State Contribution

    Sec. 30.  The sum of $56,300 $54,100, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Supreme Court for the contingent expenses of the Illinois Courts Commission.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
