Makes an appropriation to the Capital Development Board for the United Neighborhood Organization for renovation of 4 vacant buildings in Chicago.  Effective July 1, 2007.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  The amount of $17,000,000, or as much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Capital Development Board for the United Neighborhood Organization for the renovation of 4 vacant buildings in Chicago’s southwest side to be renovated for use as charter schools, an after school recreation center, and combined offices for immigration and naturalization services, job training and placement, and healthcare facility.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
