AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 6558

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6558, by deleting everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“ARTICLE 1

    Section 5.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the Office of the State’s Appellate Prosecutor to meet its ordinary and contingent expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009:

For Appropriation to the State's Attorneys

  Appellate Prosecutor for a grant to the

  Cook County State's Attorney for expenses

  incurred in filing appeals in Cook County...... 2,700,000

ARTICLE 999

Section 999.  Effective Date.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2008.”.
