SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for grants and related expenses for the education and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and prevention programs for teen pregnancy with a disparate impact on the Latino community. Effective July 1, 2007.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. Appropriates $500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for grants and related expenses for education and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and prevention programs for teen pregnancy with a disparate impact on the Latino Community. The Department shall prioritize the allocated funds for programs that target Latino communities with the highest rates of teen pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
