AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3925

 

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3925, by deleting everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

“ARTICLE 1

 

    Section 5.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the Board of the Trustees of Southern Illinois University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009:

Payable from the General Revenue Fund:

  For Personal Services, including payment

    to the university for personal services

    costs incurred during the fiscal year

    and salaries accrued but unpaid to academic

    personnel for personal services rendered

    during the academic year 2008-2009......... 205,525,300

  For State Contributions to Social

    Security, for Medicare....................... 2,343,400

  For Group Insurance............................ 3,662,100

  For Contractual Services...................... 12,556,400

  For Travel........................................ 53,600

  For Commodities.................................. 961,300

  For Equipment.................................. 1,921,000

  For Telecommunications Services................ 1,774,900

  For Operation of Automotive Equipment............ 633,100

  For Awards and Grants............................ 155,500

    Total                                      $229,586,600

 

    Section 10.  The sum of $1,200,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for the School of Medicine Lab.

 

    Section 15.  The sum of $869,100, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for operational expenses associated with the Simmons Cooper Cancer Institute.

Section 999.  Effective Date.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2008.”.
