SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express
3 their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Paul
4 James "Bud" Christensen of Waukegan, who recently passed away;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, Paul Christensen was born on December 15, 1954; he
7 married L. Kaye Welty on April 6, 1985; together they raised
8 two sons, John Howard Kelty and William James Christensen; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He attended and graduated from Immaculate
10 Conception grade school, where he was a founding member of the
11 I.C. Youth Group; in 1972 he graduated from Carmel High School;
12 he served in the United States Navy from 1981 to 1983; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He worked for the College of Lake County, Lake
14 Shore Campus for 15 years, and graduated from the school in
15 2002, with two degrees; Paul volunteered with P.A.D.S., and was
16 a co-founder of DISContinuum Disc Gold Club; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Paul Christensen was an avid Cubs and NASCAR fan;
18 he enjoyed reading, cribbage, the music of the Beatles,
19 reveling in his Irish heritage, political debate, and carving
20 walking sticks for his family and friends; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Paul Christensen is survived by his wife, Kaye;
22 his sons, John and Bill; his foster father, William "Bill"
23 O'Neil; his sisters, Maureen Oglesby, Patricia Christensen,
24 and Lorie Merstorf; his nieces, Kristen Klem and Jennifer
25 Wykes; and his in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and out-laws;
26 therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we again send our
29 sympathies to the family and friends of Paul Christensen; and
