SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, he members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death Georgianna Dutcher Sexton of
4 Hinsdale on June 11, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Georgianna Dutcher was born on July 9, 1960, in
6 Houston, Texas; she grew up as only a fine south Texas girl
7 could in Ganado, Texas, twirling her baton, riding horses,
8 water skiing, and loving her family; she graduated from Ganado
9 High School in 1979; at Sam Houston State University in
10 Huntsville, Texas, she studied to become a paralegal but also
11 pursued art and interior design; and
 
12     WHEREAS, In 1990, Georgianna Dutcher married James "Jim"
13 Sexton and they started their family in Houston, Texas; in 1996
14 the Sextons moved to Hinsdale, where Mrs. Sexton immediately
15 began volunteering; she was involved in numerous community
16 organizations, but Saint Isaac Jogues (SIJ) enjoyed the
17 majority of her volunteer hours; with grace and ease, she
18 chaired or championed several SIJ events; she served as the
19 2001-02 President of the SIJ Parent School Association (PSA),
20 and she also participated on the St. John's University School
21 of Theology Board of Overseers in Collegeville, Minnesota; and
 
22     WHEREAS, Mrs. Sexton enjoyed fashion, cooking, art, and
23 golf, but she was most passionate about equestrian activities;
24 an accomplished horsewoman, Mrs. Sexton won several horse shows
25 at local, regional, and national levels; and
 
26     WHEREAS, The passing of Georgianna Dutcher Sexton is deeply
27 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband,
28 Jim; her son, William "Will"; her daughter, Aubrey; her loving
29 parents, Alice, nee Mica, and Henry Sunderman and Sharon and
30 Albert Dutcher Jr.; her brothers, Jeff and Chris Dutcher, Glen
31 Sunderman, and Billy Swift; her sisters, Kendra Moseley, Kerry

1 Clingingsmith, and Ann Sunderman Pavliska; her many nieces,
2 nephews and cousins; and her many wonderful friends; she was
3 preceded in death by her sister, Suzanne "Susie" Dutcher; her
4 grandparents, Jewel Allen, nee Barnett, Dutcher, Albert Walter
5 Earl Dutcher, and Frances and Cyril Mica; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8 Georgianna Dutcher Sexton, and we extend our sincere
9 condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10 her; and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
13 sympathy.
