SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The Senate is saddened to learn of the passing of
3 Kent Alan "Mr. A" Alexander of Carterville on February 6, 2006;
4 and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Alexander was born December 5, 1965, in Mount
6 Vernon, to Richard Dale and Marcia Susette (Frost) Alexander;
7 and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. Alexander graduated from Carterville High
9 School in 1983 with high honors and graduated from Southern
10 Illinois University in 1990 with a bachelor of science in
11 biology and computer science; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He married Kristi Lynn Hardin on September 24,
13 1998, in Paducah and taught for 12 years as a science teacher
14 at Carterville Junior High School and served as the girls
15 junior high basketball coach for four years; previous to
16 teaching at Carterville, he was the biology instructor at
17 Rantoul High School for three years; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He was an all-conference offensive lineman for
19 Carterville High School, an avid St. Louis Rams football fan,
20 and loved collecting comic books, comic book memorabilia, voice
21 prints of old time radio shows, and also was an amateur
22 herpetologist; and
 
23     WHEREAS, Mr. Alexander was a born again Christian, a member
24 of Crainville Baptist Church, and a devoted family man who
25 loved spending time with his children and pets, especially his
26 beloved mutt Luke; and
 
27     WHEREAS, The passing of Kent Alan "Mr. A" Alexander will be
28 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife,
29 his children, Haleigh, Nathaniel, and Gabriel; his parents; his

1 brother, Bradley Gene Alexander; his mother-in-law, Loyce
2 Hardin; and his numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law,
3 aunts, uncles, and cousins; he was preceded in death by his
4 grandparents, Ryburn and Mae Alexander and Leo and Alice Frost,
5 and his sister-in-law, Kathy Hardin; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that, along with his family
8 and friends, we mourn the death of Kent Alan "Mr. A" Alexander;
9 and be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
12 sympathy.
