SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were deeply
3 saddened to learn of the death of Peter Joseph Paulson of
4 Sayner, Wisconsin, a former resident of Libertyville and
5 Waukegan, Illinois, on November 17, 2005; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Mr. Paulson, who was 70 years old at the time of
7 his death, graduated from Campion Jesuit High School and John
8 Carroll University; he and his family owned and operated the
9 Parkway Restaurant in Waukegan for 54 years until 1999; he
10 served in the U.S. Army and Reserves, reaching the rank of
11 Captain; he was a past member of St. Joseph Church in
12 Libertyville, St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan, and the Glen
13 Flora County Club; he was more recently an active member of
14 Plum Lake Golf Club in Sayner, Wisconsin; and
 
15     WHEREAS, The passing of Peter Joseph Paulson is deeply felt
16 by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Jane (nee
17 Corcoran), to whom he was married for 48 years; his children,
18 Martin (Linda) Paulson, Margaret (Brian) Rooney, Fr. Brian
19 Paulson S.J., Claire (Kirk) Morabito, Thomas (Susan) Paulson,
20 and Kristen (Michael) Watson; his grandchildren, Elise and
21 Kevin Paulson, Ryan, Colin, and Daniel Morabito, Emily,
22 Benjamin and Abigail Paulson, Erin and Jane Watson, and Kevin
23 and Kaitlin Wright; his sisters and brother, Joan (Paul) Ochs,
24 Paula (Joseph) Brennan, and Roy (Joanne) Paulson; his
25 sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane (nee Corcoran) and Dr.
26 Edward Leslie; and his twenty nieces and nephews; and
 
27     WHEREAS, Mr. Paulson was preceded in death by his parents,
28 LeRoy (1970) and Lucille (2003) Paulson; and
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
31 Peter Joseph Paulson, and we extend to his friends and family

1 our sincerest condolences; and be it further
 
2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to the family of Peter Joseph Paulson as an
4 expression of our deepest sympathy.
