| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with regret of the recent death of Joseph J. Filip; and
|

| WHEREAS, Mr. Filip was a U.S. Army Veteran and will be |
| 5 |
| deeply missed; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, His passing has been felt by many, especially his |
| 7 |
| wife, Jacqueline (nee Bates); his children, Joseph M. (Wendy) |
| 8 |
| Filip and Lora (James) Degrado; his granddaughter, Kristin |
| 9 |
| Filip; and his siblings, Violet Bachielli and Donald (Mary) |
| 10 |
| Filip; he was a dear uncle and great-uncle of many; therefore, |
| 11 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 13 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 14 |
| Joseph J. Filip, and we extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 15 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 16 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 19 |
| sympathy.
