SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Ronald A. Bolton on July
4 25, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Bolton was born on August 25, 1947, to Minnie
6 and William Bolton; his childhood and adulthood was filled with
7 work and productivity; he enjoyed scholastic endeavors,
8 entertainment, family gatherings, outdoor "BBQ" cooking,
9 coaching/training youth sports, and "team-effort", and he
10 participated in countless endeavors that contributed to
11 community and family life; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He loved Chicago and displayed pride and
13 leadership in his academic pursuit and educational
14 achievement; he was a product of the south side of Chicago; he
15 attended Ruggles Grammar School, Tilden Technical High School,
16 and Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT); he received a
17 Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical and aerospace
18 engineering; he extended dedication and loyalty to Sunbeam
19 Corporation, Liquid Carbonic, Searle Analytic, Specialty
20 Brands, Johnson Products, Helena Curtis Corporation, Lever
21 Brothers Corporation, and Liquid Pak; and
 
22     WHEREAS, He loved baseball and children; his participation
23 as coach and umpire at countless little league baseball games
24 was ambitious and untiring; many were influenced by his
25 guidance through this venue; and
 
26     WHEREAS, The passing of Ronald A. Bolton has been deeply
27 felt by many, especially his sons, Ronnie (Tracey) and Brock;
28 his grandson, Ronald Jr. (R.J.); his former wife and the mother
29 of his children, Diana; his brothers, Donald (Brenda) and
30 Lionel; his aunt, Louie Mae Johnson (Herron); his uncle, Alex
31 Ellis; his nephews, Donald and Dana (Ola); his niece, Sherolyn

1 Renae Shaw (Rommel); his grand-nephews, Rommel, Donald, and
2 Alexander; his grand-nieces, Tiara, DonYeil, and Gabrielle;
3 and his many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
4     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6 Ronald A. Bolton, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
7 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8 further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
11 sympathy.
