SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of James J. Bonarigo of
4 Lansing, Illinois, on Thursday, August 25, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Bonarigo valiantly served his country and was
6 a decorated U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II; he served as a
7 radioman from 1943 to 1946; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He was a lead vocalist and drummer in numerous
9 bands in the Chicago area for 30 years; he was active in State
10 politics beginning in 1969 and served as a State Investigator
11 and later was an aide to the Cook County State's Attorney; he
12 retired from Central Management Services; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Mr. Bonarigo was an avid fisherman and enjoyed
14 watching his grandsons play baseball; he was a member of St.
15 Ann Church; and
 
16     WHEREAS, The passing of James J. Bonarigo has been deeply
17 felt by many, especially his children, Theresa Tate and Frank
18 (Wendy) Bonarigo; his grandsons, Frank and Nick Bonarigo; and
19 his sister, Josephine Sansone; he was preceded in death by his
20 sisters, Bertha (Steve) Mangione, Frances (Salvadore)
21 LaSchiava, Mamie (Roy DiNova) Girvako, and Carmella (Ken)
22 Krueger; therefore, be it
 
23     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
25 James J. Bonarigo, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
26 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
27 further
 
28     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
