SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Lola Ethel Evans of
4 Carterville on July 11, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mrs. Evans was born March 19, 1916, to Thomas
6 Clifton and Lora Ethel (Taylor) Henderson; she married James A.
7 Evans on March 31, 1934; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She worked at the Glove factory, Hoosier Cardinal,
9 Illinois Baptist State Association, Illinois Southern Baptist
10 foundation, and Petrolane; she also held the office of
11 secretary for her Sunday school class; she was a member of
12 Carterville First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school
13 and played the organ and the piano; and
 
14     WHEREAS, The best times of her life were spent with her
15 family and friends; she was an exceptional painter, quilter,
16 and crocheted everything imaginable; and
 
17     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, her
18 husband, her brother, Lloyd Henderson, and her sister, Rosamond
19 Widick; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Lola Evans is felt by all who knew
21 and loved her, especially her sons and daughter-in-law, Donald
22 and Betty Evans and James Lonnie Evans; her grandchildren,
23 Donnie and Sherril Evans, Jim and Cindy Evans, Tana and Joe
24 Greenlee, and Mary Jane and Craig Fuller; her
25 great-grandchildren, Cassie and Michael Dann, Jamie Evans,
26 Ashley Liddell, Anna Evans, Amy Greenlee, Derrik Liddell,
27 Kelsey Evans, Adam Greenlee, Emily Evans, and Jonathon Evans;
28 her great-great-grandson, Parker Evans Dann; her
29 sister-in-law, Irene Robinson; her brother-in-law, Hugh
30 Widick; her sister-in-law, Elwanda Evans; and her nieces,

1 nephews, and special friends; therefore, be it
 
2     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4 Lola Evans and extend our sincerest condolences to her family;
5 and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
8 sympathy.
