SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of James R. Halloran of
4 Godfrey on May 26, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Halloran was born October 5, 1925, in Alton,
6 the son of John and Vera (Reilley) Halloran; and
 
7     WHEREAS, On November 26, 1955, he married June Stolle at
8 St. Patrick's Church in East St. Louis; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mr. Halloran was a lifelong resident of the Alton
10 area, where he owned Halloran Auto Sales; he was a veteran and
11 served with the United States Navy; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in
13 Alton, the Eagles Lodge FOE 205 of Alton, the American Legion
14 Post 794, and the V.F.W. Post 1308; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Mr. Halloran was preceded in death by his son,
16 John William Halloran; and
 
17     WHEREAS, The passing of James R. Halloran is felt by all
18 who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 49 years, June
19 Halloran; his daughters, Molly Reilly and husband Joe; Jean
20 Adolf and husband Bernie; and Katie Dixon and husband Craig;
21 his son, James R. Halloran, Jr., and wife Susy; his 11
22 grandchildren; and his sisters, June Springman and Rosemary
23 Romanow; therefore, be it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
26 James R. Halloran and extend our sincerest condolences to his
27 family, friends, and community; and be it further
