SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 were grieved to learn of the death of Sergeant Jessica M.
4 Housby of Rock Island on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, while
5 serving in Iraq with her unit, the 1644 Transportation Company,
6 Rock Falls; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Jessica M. Housby was born on December 31, 1981,
8 in Rock Island, the daughter of Deborah Housby Bundy; she
9 graduated from Rock Island High School in 2000, and she was
10 employed at Happy Joe's of Milan for several years; and
 
11     WHEREAS, She currently was employed at Pediatrics Group
12 Associates in Moline; she joined the Illinois National Guard in
13 1999; she often talked about her co-workers at the Pediatric
14 Group, especially the doctors; they made her employment warm
15 and were a pleasure to work for; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Jessica loved playing softball, and she often
17 worked out at the Rock Island Fitness Center; she was a very
18 outgoing person and a joy to be with; all those who knew her
19 know how deeply she will be missed; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Sergeant Jessica M. Housby has been
21 deeply felt by many, especially her mother, Deborah Bundy; her
22 brother, Matthew Bundy; her grandparents, Edward and Margaret
23 Housby, Marvin Sr. and Teresa Bundy, and Janice and Barb
24 Daniels; her aunts and uncles, Michael Roberts and Lori Housby,
25 Kraig and Mary Liddell, Rose Mann, Robert and Patricia Cather,
26 Dennis and Leelynn Housby, Therese Adams, and Edward Jr. and
27 Linda Housby; and her 17 cousins and four great-cousins; she
28 was preceded in death by her stepfather, Marvin F. Bundy II;
29 therefore, be it
 
30     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2 Sergeant Jessica M. Housby, and we extend our deepest sympathy
3 to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
4 it further
 
5     RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Sergeant Housby and
6 her willingness to serve our country, which led to her making
7 the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
 
8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to her family as an expression of our sincerest
10 condolences for their loss.
