1     AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Fire Sprinkler Contractor Licensing Act is
5 amended by changing Section 5 as follows:
 
6     (225 ILCS 317/5)
7     Sec. 5. Legislative intent. It is declared that that within
8 the State of Illinois there are, and may continue to be,
9 locations where the improper installation or repair of fire
10 sprinkler systems creates conditions that may adversely affect
11 the public health and general welfare. Therefore, the purpose
12 of this Act is to protect, promote, and preserve the public
13 health and general welfare by providing for the establishment
14 of minimum standards for licensure of fire sprinkler
15 installation contractors.
