Creates the Truth in Tickets Act. Provides that, with each ticket sold, a ticket broker must provide to the buyer a written statement setting forth and explaining all of the fees imposed by the ticket broker on the sale of the ticket. Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Provides that a violation of the Truth in Tickets Act is a violation of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

| AN ACT concerning business transactions.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Truth |
5 |
| in Tickets Act. |
6 |
| Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act: |
7 |
| "Fee" means any fee or other charge imposed by a ticket |
8 |
| broker on the sale of a ticket other than the printed box |
9 |
| office ticket price. |
10 |
| "Ticket" means a ticket of admission to a sporting event, |
11 |
| theater, musical performance, or place of public entertainment |
12 |
| or amusement of any kind. |
13 |
| "Ticket broker" means a broker who is exempt from the |
14 |
| provisions of the Ticket Scalping Act under subsection (b) of |
15 |
| Section 1.5 of the Ticket Scalping Act. |

| Section 10. Statement of fees. |
17 |
| (a) With each ticket sold, a ticket broker must provide to |
18 |
| the buyer a written statement setting forth and explaining all |
19 |
| of the fees imposed on the sale of the ticket. |
20 |
| (b) A violation of this Act constitutes a violation of the |
21 |
| Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

| Section 900. The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business |

| Practices Act is amended by changing Section 2Z as follows:
