| AN ACT concerning State government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Interstate Library Compact Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 2. Administrator.
|

| The
The Secretary of State, ex officio, shall be the |
| 9 |
| compact administrator.
The compact administrator shall receive |
| 10 |
| copies of all agreements entered
into by the state or its |
| 11 |
| political subdivisions and other states or
political |
| 12 |
| subdivisions; consult with, advise and aid such governmental
|
| 13 |
| units in the formulation of such agreements; make such |
| 14 |
| recommendations to
the governor, legislature, governmental |
| 15 |
| agencies and units as he deems
desirable to effectuate the |
| 16 |
| purposes of this compact and consult and
co-operate with the |
| 17 |
| compact administrators of other party states. |
