HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The State and University Employees Combined
3 Appeal (SECA) came into existence in 1983 following an
4 enactment of legislation; and
 
5     WHEREAS, SECA has conducted itself as a program whereby
6 State employees can make voluntary contributions to a wide
7 variety of charitable organizations; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Those organizations have been approved by the
9 State Comptroller as worthy and responsible charities
10 providing many needed and important services; and
 
11     WHEREAS, The statutory responsibility for the conduct of
12 the annual fall solicitation is in the hands of an Advisory
13 Committee composed of 16 dedicated State employees; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Last year's campaign raised more than $3 million
15 from State employees through payroll and cash contributions;
16 therefore, be it
 
17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we express our appreciation to the Advisory Committee members
20 for their effective leadership in supporting worthy charitable
21 organizations in Illinois; and be it further
 
22     RESOLVED, That the members of the Advisory Committee are
23 Cindy Dixon, Department of Central Management Services, who
24 serves as the chair; Jacqueline Berger, University of Illinois
25 at Chicago; Mary Fanning, Office of the Governor; Margarite
26 Faulkner, Department of Employment Security; Henry Harms,
27 Illinois House of Representatives; Erica Michael, University
28 of Illinois at Springfield; Julie Moody, Office of the Attorney
29 General; Roukaya Narwoor, Department of Commerce and Economic
