HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death in Iraq of
4 Specialist Brian Albert Wright of Keensburg on Tuesday,
5 December 6, 2005; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Specialist Wright was serving in Ar Ramadi, Iraq,
7 as an engineer with the 135th Engineering Company A of the
8 Illinois National Guard, Lawrenceville unit; he received the
9 Bronze Star and the Purple Heart posthumously; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was born on December 27, 1985, in Mt. Carmel to
11 Allan L. and Shirley A. (Kinder) Wright; he was a 2004 graduate
12 of Mt. Carmel High School, where he played football for two
13 years and was a member of the wrestling and tennis teams and
14 the choir; he was a member of the Keensburg Fire Department and
15 Keensburg Christian Church; he was an employee of Buehler's
16 Buy-Low in Mt. Carmel; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He enjoyed playing the guitar and being in the
18 church band; he participated in the Best of Broadway production
19 at Wabash Valley College for two years and enjoyed
20 Revolutionary War re-enactments; and
 
21     WHEREAS, He loved sports, music, and golf, was deeply
22 patriotic, and had a deep faith in God; he also played T-ball
23 in Bellmont and made the Mt. Carmel All Stars twice; he was a
24 Pittsburg Steelers fan and attended Evansville Otters baseball
25 games as well as games in St. Louis; and
 
26     WHEREAS, The passing of Specialist Brian Albert Wright has
27 been deeply felt by many, especially his parents, Allan and
28 Shirley Wright; his brother, David A. and Danielle (Cobb)
29 Wright; his sister, Rachelle L. Wright; his special friend,
30 Marisa Mains; his grandparents, Leonard R. and Glenda L.

1 (Wease) Wright; his aunts and uncles, Wes and Theresa (Wright)
2 Hawthorne, Ken and Lil (Kinder), Bonnie (Kinder) Weaver, Terry
3 and Judy (Kinder) Barker, Beverly Kinder, John and Lisa Kinder;
4 all of Painesville, Ohio; and his many cousins; he was preceded
5 in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Dorothy Kinder,
6 and his aunt, Sherry Lesler; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9 we mourn the passing of Specialist Brian A. Wright, and we
10 extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who
11 knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Specialist Wright and
13 his willingness to serve his country, which led to him making
14 the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to his family as an expression of our sincerest
17 condolences.
