HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, On Friday, November 25, 2005, the Aquin Catholic
3 High School Bulldogs football team won its first State title
4 since 1986; and
 
5     WHEREAS, The Aquin team defeated the Cambridge Vikings by a
6 score of 30 to 28; they ended the season with a record of 13
7 wins and one loss; and
 
8     WHEREAS, The team has much to be proud of off the field as
9 well; the varsity team carries a grade point average of 3.3 on
10 a 4.0 scale, and 86 percent of the team was on the honor roll
11 during the football season; and
 
12     WHEREAS, The coach of the Bulldogs is Jake Rankin, and he
13 is assisted by Andy Hughes, Craig Jenkins, Todd Kramer, Barry
14 Lasco, Tim Brannick, and Marty Janecke; and
 
15     WHEREAS, The captains of the team are Adam Jelinek, Matt
16 Marini, Jakob Awender, and Drew Harweger; water boys Nolan
17 Brannick and Nick Hughes supported their efforts; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The other members of the Bulldogs are JT Hauser,
19 Tim Krieger, Alex Goulart, Steve Vogt, Mitch Ottenhausen, Tom
20 Hauser, Kyle Lasco, Aaron Schmelzle, Cody Gallagher, Steven
21 Hauser, Nick Amodeo, Zach Mordini, Kelly Pospischil, Ben
22 Heiler, Mike Beckman, Gunnar Harn, Kyle Lehnhard, Zack
23 Hoppenjan, Adam Murley, Derek Thompson, Lucas Morhardt,
24 Tristan Gallagher, Josh Pontius, Brodie Myers, Arthur Schmidt,
25 Nathaniel Alden, Calvin Gahm, Tom Bruehler, Matt Hauser, Blake
26 King, and Joonas Sergin; therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
29 we congratulate the Aquin Catholic High School Bulldogs

2 and on being just as successful off the field; and be it

4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to each of the members and coaches of the Bulldogs
6 and to Aquin Catholic High School as an expression of our
7 esteem.
