HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois learned with much sadness of the death in
4 Iraq of Sergeant Brian Romines of Simpson and formerly of Anna
5 on June 6, 2005; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born on October 26, 1984 to Clyde Randall
7 and Melinda Clary Romines; he was a graduate of Anna Jr. High
8 School and Vienna High School; he attended many churches and
9 was a member of the VFW in Herrin and an honorary member of the
10 Roustabouts of Little Egypt Southern Illinois; and
 
11     WHEREAS, He joined the U.S. Army National Guard in October
12 of 2002, completed basic training in November of 2003, and was
13 deployed in November of 2004; he was a member of the 2nd
14 Battalion, 123rd Field Artillery based out of Marion; and
 
15     WHEREAS, The passing of Sergeant Brian Romines has been
16 deeply felt by many, especially his mother, Melinda (Randy)
17 Astin; his father, Randy (Rhonda) Romines; his maternal
18 grandparents, Jim and Sue Clary; his paternal grandparents,
19 Clifford and Phyllis Romines; his brother, Randall Romines; his
20 sister, Tera (Jeremiah Reagan) Romines; his stepsister, Kristy
21 Goolsby; his uncles, Mark (Jamie) Clary, Todd Clary, Brad
22 (Linda) Romines, Richard (Mandy) Romines, and Greg (Woodie)
23 Romines; his nephews, Brennan Romines and Ryland Solami; his
24 niece, Hannah Romines; his cousins, Megan, Kaci, Samantha,
25 Derek, Rendee, Chelsie, Richard, Tabatha, Tiffany, Teila, and
26 Tyler; his other relatives; his Honorary Godmother Julie
27 Miller; his close friends in the military, Sgt. Ben Hurst, Sgt.
28 Fritz Coffey, and SPC Carr; his extended family of the Alpha
29 Co., 2/123 FA, 504th MPBN; and his many other loved ones and
30 friends; he was preceded in death by his great-grandparents,
31 John Raymond and Mary Romines, and his
32 great-great-grandparents, Lester and Chloe Jones; therefore,

2     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
4 we mourn the passing of Sergeant Brian Romines, and we extend
5 our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all who
6 knew and loved him; and be it further
 
7     RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Sergeant Romines and
8 his willingness to serve our country which led to him making
9 the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
12 sympathy.
