HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, William J. Becker, Sister Linda Jansen, SSND,
3 MaryAnn Keiner, and Lawrence Luebbers will be inducted into the
4 Mater Dei Catholic High School Hall of Honor on Saturday, May
5 7, 2005; and; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Inductees into the Mater Dei Hall of Honor have
7 distinguished themselves in living the mission of Mater Dei
8 High School by their service to their communities in the areas
9 of academics, business, professional or religious life, and
10 public service; and
 
11     WHEREAS, William J. Becker of Breese is an Associate Judge
12 of the Fourth Circuit, and is active in various bar
13 associations and judges' associations; he has lectured for the
14 Illinois State Bar and other professional organizations on
15 litigation and related topics; he is a member of St. Dominic's
16 Parish in Breese and has served as president of the Parish
17 Council; he is a past president of the St. Joseph Hospital
18 Foundation and a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Advisory
19 Board and the Breese Lions' Club; he and his wife, Joanie, whom
20 he married in 1973, have three children, and the entire family
21 are Mater Dei graduates; and
 
22     WHEREAS, MaryAnn (Andolsek) Keiner of Noblesville,
23 Indiana, has been the Pastoral Associate for Liturgy and Adult
24 Formation at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville,
25 Indiana, since 2000; each year, she directs the Rite of
26 Christian Initiation for Adults in her parish, leading over 30
27 new people each year; she counsels and aids parishioners and
28 staff members; previously, she worked as Director of Religious
29 Education at Holy Trinity in Bloomington, as coordinator of
30 Elementary Religious Education, and as Director of Religious
31 Education at Our Lady of Grace; she is a member of the Diocesan
32 Liturgical Commission for the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana

1 and served as its chairperson in 2003; she was named one of 25
2 Outstanding Religious Educators in the country by Catechist
3 magazine; she is married to Ed Keiner and together they have
4 three children; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Sister Linda Jansen, SSND, of St. Louis, entered
6 the religious community of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in
7 the fall of 1959, professed her First Vows in 1961, and her
8 Final Vows in 1966; she served as a business teacher, as
9 principal, and later ministered in the Business Department at
10 St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington, Missouri; she
11 also taught and served as principal at Duchesne High School in
12 St. Charles, Missouri, served as secretary to the Provincial
13 Leadership of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in St. Louis,
14 and as treasurer of her religious congregation; she has been
15 active on numerous committees and has accompanied students and
16 other sisters on international trips; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Lawrence "Larry" Luebbers is a 1975 graduate of
18 Mater Dei High School; he graduated from Southern Illinois
19 University at Carbondale and is a licensed C.P.A.; he is a
20 partner with Deloitte and Touche Accounting; he is married to
21 Mary Ann and has one twelve-year-old son, Jared; Mr. Luebbers
22 is an internationally respected business leader; therefore, be
23 it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate William J. Becker, Sister Linda Jansen, SSND,
27 MaryAnn Keiner, and Lawrence Luebbers on their induction into
28 the Mater Dei Hall of Honor; and be it further
 
29     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
30 presented to each inductee as an expression of our respect and
31 esteem.
