    Amends the Good Samaritan Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning immunity from civil liability for giving or receiving and acting on emergency telephone instructions.

1     AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Good Samaritan Act is amended by changing
5 Section 5 as follows:
 
6     (745 ILCS 49/5)
7     Sec. 5. Emergency telephone instructions; exemption from
8 civil liability. No person who gives emergency instructions
9 through a system established under the the Emergency Telephone
10 System Act to persons rendering services in an emergency at
11 another location, nor any person following the instructions in
12 rendering the services, shall be liable for any civil damages
13 as a result of issuing or following the instructions, unless
14 issuing or following the instructions constitutes willful or
15 wanton misconduct.
