| AN ACT concerning local government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 11-1-5 as follows:
|

| (65 ILCS 5/11-1-5) (from Ch. 24, par. 11-1-5)

| Sec. 11-1-5. The corporate authorities of each |
| 8 |
| municipality may by
ordinance declare a curfew throughout all |
| 9 |
| or any part of the municipality
and establish the conditions |
| 10 |
| and restrictions thereof. Such ordinance may include a daytime |
| 11 |
| curfew to help combat truancy in public schools.
