SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $100,000 for FY2007 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of State Police for grants to local law enforcement agencies to conduct DNA testing in cases involving the murder of children under 17 years of age. Effective July 1, 2006.

$STATE POLICE-DNA TESTING

 

 

 


    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The sum of $100,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of State Police for grants to local law enforcement agencies to conduct DNA testing in cases involving the murder of children under 17 years of age.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2006.
