SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $10,000,000 to the Department of Transportation for the addition by AMTRAK of 2 daily round trips between Chicago and St. Louis, with stops in Joliet, Springfield, and other cities.  Effective July 1, 2005.

    AN ACT making appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  The amount of $10,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Transportation for the addition by AMTRAK of 2 daily round trips between Chicago and St. Louis, with stops in Summit, Joliet, Dwight, Pontiac, Bloomington-Normal, Lincoln, Springfield, Carlinville, and Alton.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
