P.A. 94-15, Article 94, Section 17 new

    Makes a supplemental appropriation of $5,400,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for payment of Merit Recognition Scholarships to undergraduate students.  Effective immediately.

BALANCED BUDGET NOTE ACT MAY APPLY

$SUPP-ISAC-MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5.  "An Act concerning appropriations", Public Act 94-15, approved June 10, 2005, is amended by adding Section 17 to Article 94 as follows:

    (P.A. 94-15, Article 94, Section 17 new)

Sec. 17.  The amount of $5,400,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for payment of Merit Recognition Scholarships to undergraduate students under the Merit Recognition Scholarship Program provided for in Section 31 of the Higher Education Student Assistance Act.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
