SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $10,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Supreme Court for fiscal year 2006 for the purpose of making grants to be equally disbursed among judicial circuits for the establishment of drug court programs under the Drug Court Treatment Act and to defray the costs of established drug court programs. Effective July 1, 2005.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

Section 5. The amount of $10,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Supreme Court for the purposes of making grants to the Chief Judge of each judicial court for the establishment of drug court programs and to defray the costs of established drug court programs created under the Drug Court Treatment Act.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
