Appropriates $2 from the General Revenue Fund to the University of Illinois at Chicago for the use of its School of Public Health for costs associated with public education, outreach, and community involvement for the CeaseFire initiative of the Chicago Project for Violence Prevention. Effective July 1, 2005.

$UIC-CEASEFIRE INITIATIVE

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The amount of $2, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the University of Illinois at Chicago for the use of its School of Public Health for costs associated with public education, outreach, and community involvement for the CeaseFire initiative of the Chicago Project for Violence Prevention.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
