    Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning powers transferred to the Department.

1     AN ACT concerning executive agencies.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic
5 Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by changing Section 605-115 as follows:
 
7     (20 ILCS 605/605-115)  (was 20 ILCS 605/46.36)
8     Sec. 605-115. Transfer from State Housing Board and
9 Department of Business and Economic Development. In addition to
10 the duties and the powers imposed elsewhere in the Civil
11 Administrative Code of Illinois, the Department has the
12 following powers:
13         (1) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
14     by law in the State Housing Board under the Housing
15     Authorities Act.
16         (2) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
17     by law in the State Housing Board under the Housing
18     Cooperation Law.
19         (3) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
20     by law in the State Housing Board under the Housing
21     Development and Construction Act.
22         (4) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
23     by law in the State Housing Board under the Blighted Areas
24     Redevelopment Act of 1947.
25         (5) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
26     by law in the State Housing Board under the Blighted Vacant
27     Areas Development Act of 1949.
28         (6) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
29     by law in the State Housing Board under the Urban Community
30     Conservation Act.
31         (7) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
32     by law in the State Housing Board under the Urban Renewal

1     Consolidation Act of 1961.
2         (8) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
3     by law in the State Housing Board under the Redevelopment
4     Project Rehousing Act.
5         (9) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
6     by law in the State Housing Board under the State Housing
7     Act.
8         (10) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
9     by law in the State Housing Board under the Illinois
10     Housing Development Act.
11         (11) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties which
12     had been vested by law in the Department of Business and
13     Economic Development under Sections 46.7 (renumbered; now
14     Section 605-200 of this Law; 20 ILCS 605/605-200), 46.8
15     (repealed), 46.23 (repealed), and 47.1 (repealed) of the
16     Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, previous to August
17     29, 1969.
18         (12) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties which
19     have been vested by law in the State Housing Board under
20     Section 6b-3 of the State Finance Act.
21      The Department shall render assistance and advice to and
22 take action affecting local governments only upon request of a
23 local government, except as otherwise provided by the powers
24 and duties transferred to the Department by this Section.
