SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Timothy Lee Davis Jr. of East Moline,
4who passed away on May 11, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Timothy Davis, the son of Timothy Lee Davis Sr.
6and Pauline Betty Jackson, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on
7July 22, 1952; he graduated from United Township High School
8in East Moline in 1970; he served in the U.S. Air Force; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Timothy Davis worked as a painter at John Deere
10for most of his life; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Timothy Davis enjoyed playing cards and gaming
12with his family; he also enjoyed watching old cowboy shows,
13including Gun Smoke, Rawhide, and Bonanza; he loved
14socializing and never knew a stranger; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Timothy Davis was preceded in death by his
16father; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Timothy Davis is survived by his mother, Pauline
18Davis; his sons, Phayzon (Cherylanda) Trice and Timothy Davis
19III; his grandchildren, Keishon Trice and Sereniti Trice; his
20siblings, Danny (Melody) Davis, Hilda Jones, and Jackie

1(Vernon) Tabb; a host nieces and nephews; and his significant
2other, Denise Trice; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Timothy Lee Davis Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Timothy Davis as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
