SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Max D. Sayers of Industry, who passed
4away on May 1, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Max Sayers was born to Glenn W. and Millicent P.
6Wells Sayers in Eldorado Township on December 1, 1929; he
7served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1955; he married
8Barbara Hammond on September 10, 1950, and she preceded him in
9death on July 5, 2014; he later married Sue Hoyle Frakes on
10December 12, 2019; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Max Sayers worked as a farmer in Industry, where
12he resided for the majority of his life; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Max Sayer was a member of the Rushville Masonic
14Lodge and West Prairie Presbyterian Church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Max Sayer was an avid hunter who loved taking
16hiking and camping trips to Glacier National Park; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Max Sayers is survived by his wife, Sue; his
18daughter, Cathy (John) McMillan; his sons, Mike (Jessica)
19Sayers and Brad (Laura) Sayers; his grandchildren, Tyler
20(Jess) Sayers, Ashley (Ames) Conant, and Travis Sayers; his

1step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Tim) Ferris and Cathryn (Pablo)
2Ferris; his great-grandchildren, Alexis Sayers and Wesley
3Conant; and his step-great-grandchildren, Benjamin Supakorndej
4and Luke Supakorndej; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Max D. Sayers and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Max Sayers as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
