SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Arlon Lee "Bant" Anderson of Moline,
4who passed away on April 22, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bant Anderson, the son of Tompie and Minnie
6(Vickery) Anderson, was born in Quincy, Mississippi on
7February 28, 1932; he served in the U.S. Army for two years,
8spending one year in Germany; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bant Anderson worked at John Deere for over 30
10years, retiring in 1989; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bant Anderson enjoyed golfing and spending
12winters in Florida; above all else, he loved his family,
13especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bant Anderson was preceded in death by his
15parents; his stepson, Michael Golden; his granddaughter, Lori
16Luna; and 10 siblings; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bant Anderson is survived by his children,
18Carolyn (John) Perez, Deb (Jack) Slater, and Bruce Golden; his
19grandchildren, Tedgie (T.C. Christopher) Wright-Christopher,
20Jonathan (Ellie) Perez, Jeffrey (Emma) Perez, Allen (Kate)

1Wallace, Melissa (Clinton) Bell, and Jaclyn Slater; his
2great-grandchildren, Caden Wright, Chloe Hodgerson, Noah
3Christopher, Georgia Perez, Forrest Perez, Theodore Perez,
4Jake Brandt, Adelle Wallace, Vivian Wallace, Jak Bell, Lily
5Luna, and Brock Luna; and his siblings, Donald Anderson and
6Linda (Dale) Mitchell; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Arlon Lee "Bant" Anderson and extend our sincere condolences
10to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Bant Anderson as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
