SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Mark Phillip Gleason of Springfield,
4who passed away on November 16, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mark Gleason was born to Mark Bryce Gleason and
6Toni Rae Wiard Gleason in Springfield on August 1, 1980; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mark Gleason loved playing with the Chatham
8Glenwood Junior Football League and was a huge fan of the
9Chicago Bears; he enjoyed going on motorcycle rides and
10playing Bingo; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mark Gleason, known to many as "Little Mark", was
12a great friend and a wonderful son, brother, and grandson; he
13was deeply passionate about his cat, Huckleberry; he will be
14remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his contagious
15smile, and his heart of gold; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mark Gleason was preceded in death by his
17grandparents, Bryce (Eileen) Gleason and Phil Wiard, and his
18aunts, Tracy Compston and Joni Leckrone; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Mark Gleason is survived by his parents; his
20sister, Monica Raines; his stepsisters, Kaytlin Smith, Ashli

1Smith, and Dawn (Josh) Kerska; his stepbrothers, Jeremy (Jeni)
2Sellers and Cody (Amber) Sellers; his grandparents, Dorthy
3Shaw and Shirley Ravensburg; and several aunts, uncles, and
4cousins; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Mark Phillip Gleason and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Mark Gleason as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
