SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Graham Joseph Hosman, who passed away
4on November 3, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Graham Hosman was born on October 6, 2015; he was
6the firstborn son of three to Andrew and Jennifer (Parks)
7Hosman of Eldorado; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Graham Hosman loved dinosaurs, fishing in his
9grandfather's pond, building Legos, and anything with a ball;
10he expressed hopes of becoming a preacher and a
11paleontologist, and he assuredly would have excelled at both;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Graham Hosman was known for his compassion and
14the tenderness he bestowed on the elderly, the young, and the
15hurting; he steadfastly prayed for the needs of others, humbly
16submitted to endless intrusions to his person, and taught
17others by example the beauty of contentment through his lack
18of complaints; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Graham Hosman will be remembered for his
20determination, perseverance, competitive spirit, keen mind,
21and desire to please loved ones; and

1    WHEREAS, Graham Hosman was preceded in death by his
2paternal great-grandfather, Dr. Elliott Partridge; his
3paternal great-grandparents, Reba Marie and Lloyd Johns; his
4maternal great-grandfather, Emil Allen; and his honorary
5maternal great-grandfather, James Parks; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Graham Hosman is survived by his parents; his
7younger brothers, Parker and Eli; his paternal grandparents,
8Joe "PaPa" and Joni "Omi" Hosman; his maternal grandparents,
9Larry "Granddad" and Cathy "Nana" Parks; his paternal
10great-grandmother, Darla Partridge; his maternal
11great-grandmother, Rita Allen; his honorary maternal
12great-grandmother, Cathlene Parks; and his many aunts, uncles,
13and cousins; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Graham Joseph Hosman and extend our sincere condolences to his
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Graham Hosman as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
