SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of MacArthur "Mac" Fragier of
4Springfield, who passed away on March 24, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mac Fragier was born in Inverness, Mississippi to
6Jessie Sr. and Theresa (Fragier) White on July 5, 1945; he
7moved to Springfield in 1951 and graduated from Feitshans High
8School in 1964; he married Lorean "Lori" Sain on March 14,
92000; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Mac Fragier worked at AT&T as plant manager for
1130 years and later owned and operated Mac's Lounge for 38
12years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mac Fragier was a member of Masonic Temple
14Central Lodge #3 and Kamar Temple #56 for over 50 years; he was
15an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Panther Creek Country
16Club; he loved biking on the Rochester Trail and playing
17chess; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mac Fragier was preceded in death by his parents;
19his granddaughters, Mya Johnson and Kionna Banks; his
20grandson, Aaron Johnson; his brothers, Jesse White Jr. and
21John White; and his sister, Edna White; and

1    WHEREAS, Mac Fragier is survived by his wife of 23 years,
2Lori; his children, Bonnie Green, Dr. Michelle Fragier, Dr.
3Marsha (Lowa) Mwilambwe, Kimberly (Robert) Sylvester, Perry
4(Christy) Johnson, Phillip (Michelle) Johnson, and Corey
5Baker; 18 grandchildren; his sisters, Barbara (Chardester)
6Simmons, Delois White, Virginia Gregory, Linda Harrison,
7Georgia (Marvin) Sanders, and Norma (David) Hale; his aunts,
8Kathy Williams and Jacqueline White; his uncle, OC Fragier;
9and several other family members; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12MacArthur "Mac" Fragier and extend our sincere condolences to
13his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Mac Fragier as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
