| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the St. Anthony High |
| 4 | | School boys baseball team, the Bulldogs, on an amazing 2024 |
| 5 | | season; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs won the regional final in Marshall |
| 7 | | by defeating Marshall 6 to 1 and Newton 8 to 2; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs won the sectional final in |
| 9 | | Greenville by defeating Roxana 5 to 0 and Teutopolis 2 to 1; |
| 10 | | and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs won the Carbondale Super Sectional |
| 12 | | by defeating Mt. Carmel 5 to 0; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs posted a 12 to 1 victory over |
| 14 | | Wilmington in the state semifinal of the Class 2A State Final |
| 15 | | Tournament at Dozer Park in Peoria; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs defeated Maroa-Forsyth 8 to 5 for |
| 17 | | the 2A IHSA State Championship; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs won seven straight victories in the |
| 19 | | post-season, with an overall record of 27-5-1; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs lost to Goreville in the 2023 super |
| 2 | | sectional and since then their mantra has been, "Job Not |
| 3 | | Finished"; after this year's championship, they can say, "Job |
| 4 | | Now Finished!"; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs had two players named to the |
| 6 | | all-state team, Brock Fearday and Connor Roepke; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs are led by Head Coach Tony Kreke and |
| 8 | | three assistant coaches, Blake Malatestinic, Mark Young, and |
| 9 | | Clint Lustig; the team managers are Rogan Allen and Xander |
| 10 | | Beals; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs players are Beau Adams, Jordan |
| 12 | | Jones, Max Koenig, Connor Roepke, Nick Ruholl, Brock Fearday, |
| 13 | | Brady Hatton, Samuel Link, Ryan Schmidt, Tim Seiler, Joseph |
| 14 | | Tegeler, Vincent Vogel, Henry Brent, Drake Brown, Maddux |
| 15 | | Clark, Aiden Lauritzen, Will Bierman, and Alex Mayer; |
