HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the West Central Junior 
4High School 8th grade boys relay team, the Cougars, on placing 
5first in the 4x200m relay at the 2024 Illinois Elementary 
6School Association (IESA) Class 2A 8th Grade Boys State Track 
7and Field Meet; and
 
8    WHEREAS, The Cougars 8th grade boys relay team earned 
9first place in the 4x200m relay with a time of one minute and 
1039.82 seconds; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The Cougars 8th grade boys relay team also placed 
12first in the 4x400m relay, finishing with a time of three 
13minutes and 50.48 seconds; and
 
14    WHEREAS, The Cougars 8th grade boys relay team includes 
15Dallas Surratt, Brady Engelbrecht, Beau Donovan, Brody Lawson, 
16Jacob Grady, and Abe Bonjean; and
 
17    WHEREAS, The Cougars 8th grade boys relay team is led by 
18Coach Jason Likes; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
20HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we congratulate the West Central Junior High School 8th grade 
2boys relay team, the Cougars, on their accomplishments at the 
32024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 2A 
48th Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet, and we wish them 
5continued success in the future; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the West Central Junior High School 8th grade 
8boys relay team as an expression of our esteem and respect.
