HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Millie Schumacher, an 
4eighth grader at Our Savior School in Jacksonville, on placing 
5first in the 400m at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School 
6Association (IESA) Class 1A 8th Grade Girls State Track and 
7Field Meet; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Millie Schumacher finished first place in the 
9400m with a time of 1 minute and 0.90 of a second; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Millie Schumacher additionally placed fifth in 
11the 800m with a time of 2 minutes and 29.83 seconds, fourth in 
12the 4x400m relay, and second in the 4x100m relay, and her 
13efforts were instrumental in the Our Savior School girls track 
14and field team placing third overall; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Millie Schumacher also had an incredible 
16performance at sectionals, placing first in the 400m with a 
17time of 1 minute and 2.86 seconds and first in the 800m with a 
18time of 2 minutes and 34.65 seconds; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Millie Schumacher has qualified for the IESA 
20State Track and Field Meet three years in a row; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Millie Schumacher on her accomplishments at 
4the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 
51A 8th Grade Girls State Track and Field Meet, and we wish her 
6continued success in the future; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Millie Schumacher as an expression of our esteem 
9and respect.
