HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Brian Weilmuenster on the
4occasion of his retirement from the 20th Judicial Circuit
5Court Services and Probation Department after 35 years of
6service; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Brian Weilmuenster began serving the 20th
8Judicial Circuit Court Services and Probation Department on
9January 15, 1989; he worked for the St. Clair County Probation
10Department as a probation officer, an intensive DUI officer,
11and an administrative caseload officer until he was promoted
12to adult unit supervisor in 1999; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Brian Weilmuenster has served his community of
14St. Clair County, the 20th Judicial Circuit Court, and the
15State of Illinois with dedication, distinction, and dignity
16for over 35 years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Brian Weilmuenster has received numerous awards
18throughout his career, including special recognition for the
19apprehension of a fleeing felon in 1993 and recognition for
20assistance in development of the St. Clair County ICJ system
21in 2005; he was also the recipient of the Pauline Gansauer
22Award by the Illinois Probation and Court Services Association

1(IPCSA) in 2012; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Brian Weilmuenster has been a proud member of the
3Illinois Federation of Public Employees (IFPE) Local 4408,
4serving alongside his fellow union brothers and sisters since
5the probation department unionized in 2015; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Brian Weilmuenster is an avid fisherman, a food
7and wine connoisseur, a proud Grateful Dead fan, a history and
8movie buff, and a member of the Holy Roman Catholic Church; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Brian Weilmuenster will conclude his career on
10April 1, 2024; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
12HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we congratulate Brian Weilmuenster on his retirement from the
1420th Judicial Circuit Court Services and Probation Department,
15and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to Brian Weilmuenster as a symbol of our respect and
19esteem.
