HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Andrew Sitshela for his 
4contributions as a trustee of the Indian Trails Public Library 
5Board (ITPLB); and
 
6    WHEREAS, Andrew Sitshela was elected as a trustee of the 
7ITPLB as a write-in candidate in April 2021, earning 473 
8write-in votes in a competitive election; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Andrew Sitshela worked with other ITPLB trustees 
10to steer the Indian Trails Public Library District (ITPLD) 
11through the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide outstanding 
12services to the library district's residents; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Andrew Sitshela played an important role in the 
142022 Strategic Planning Process for the ITPLD, providing a 
15framework to ensure strong library services in the years 
16ahead; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Andrew Sitshela participated on the Indian Trails 
18Public Library's inaugural Decennial Committee on Local 
19Government Efficiency to shine a spotlight on all of the ways 
20the library effectively partners with other entities 
21throughout the community; and

1    WHEREAS, During his tenure, Andrew Sitshela served as an 
2inquisitive, knowledgeable member of the ITPLB who was always 
3willing to listen, discuss, and thoroughly consider all 
4matters brought before the board; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Andrew Sitshela has expressed plans to pursue 
6other professional opportunities in the future; therefore, be 
7it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
9HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we recognize Andrew Sitshela for his service and dedication as 
11a trustee of the Indian Trails Public Library Board (ITPLB); 
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Andrew Sitshela as a symbol of our esteem and 
15respect.
