1 | | AN ACT concerning transportation. |
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
5 | | Section 6-508.2 as follows: |
6 | | (625 ILCS 5/6-508.2 new) |
7 | | Sec. 6-508.2. Commercial driver's license (CDL); third |
8 | | party testing. |
9 | | (a) A commercial driver training school in this State may, |
10 | | under to 49 CFR 383.75, 384.228, and 384.229, administer the |
11 | | CDL test to a student who has successfully completed a |
12 | | commercial driver's education course. Any testing administered |
13 | | under this Section must satisfy the requirements under Section |
14 | | 6-508. |
15 | | (b) The Secretary of State shall adopt rules to implement |
16 | | this Section. |
