Requires the Office of Firearm Violence Prevention to conduct a study to assess and analyze any funds appropriated under the Act to implement the Act. Provides that the study shall consider how the monies appropriated have aided the communities, prevention services, and organizations who receive funding under this Act in preventing and reducing the amount of violence in the State. Allows the Office to collaborate with other State agencies or organizations that collect or retain data or statistics related to violence in the State. Requires the Office to submit a report of the study to the General Assembly within one year of the effective date of the amendatory Act. |

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Reimagine Public Safety Act is amended by |
5 | | adding Section 35-65 as follows: |

7 | | Sec. 35-65. Study of appropriated funds. The Office of |
8 | | Firearm Violence Prevention shall conduct a study to assess |
9 | | and analyze any funds appropriated under this Act to implement |
10 | | the provisions of this Act. The study shall consider how the |
11 | | monies appropriated have aided the communities, prevention |
12 | | services, and organizations who receive funding under this Act |
13 | | in preventing and reducing the amount of violence in the |
14 | | State. The Office of Firearm Violence Prevention may |
15 | | collaborate with other State agencies or organizations that |
16 | | collect or retain data or statistics related to violence in |
17 | | the State. The Office of Firearm Violence Prevention shall |
18 | | submit a report of the study to the General Assembly within one |
19 | | year of the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd |
20 | | General Assembly. |
