| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 240 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 490/240 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 240. Robotics Day. The Governor shall annually |
| 8 | | designate, by official proclamation, the third Friday in March |
| 9 | | as Robotics Day to encourage students and school districts to |
| 10 | | engage in robotics-based activities and to engage students |
| 11 | | with the study of mathematics and science.
