AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2912 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2912 on page 4, by 
3replacing lines 11 through 13 with the following:
4    ""Denture" means a full or partial upper or lower 
5removable implant-supported prosthesis to be worn in the human 
6mouth to replace any missing natural teeth."; and
 
7by replacing line 20 on page 4 through line 9 on page 5 with 
8the following:
9    ""Practice of denture technology" means:
10        (1) constructing, repairing, relining, reproducing, 
11    duplicating, supplying, fitting, or altering a denture, 
12    implant component, or other removable nonorthodontic 
13    dental appliance intended to be worn in the human mouth in 
14    respect to which a service is performed under paragraph 
15    (2); and
16        (2) the following services when performed for a 
17    purpose listed in paragraph (1):

1            (A) examining the edentulous cavity;
2            (B) the taking of impressions;
3            (C) the taking of bite registrations;
4            (D) try-ins of dentures or other removable 
5        nonorthodontic dental appliances intended to be worn 
6        in the human mouth;
7            (E) insertions of dentures or other removable 
8        nonorthodontic dental appliances intended to be worn 
9        in the human mouth; and
10            (F) any ancillary clinical procedures and 
11        processes necessary for the completion of the 
12        prosthetic treatment."; and
 
13on page 7, line 18, by replacing "Board of Denture Technology" 
14with "Board of Denturists"; and 
 
15on page 7, line 19, by replacing "Board of Dental Technology" 
16with "Board of Denturists"; and 
 
17on page 9, line 15, by replacing "Board of Denture Technology"
