Amends the Labor Dispute Act. Provides that no award of monetary damages, except for damage done to an employer's property as a result of conduct prohibited by law, shall be granted by any court of
this State in any case involving a labor dispute.

1 | | AN ACT concerning employment.
|
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Labor Dispute Act is amended by changing |
5 | | Section 1 and by adding Section 1.4a as follows:
|
6 | | (820 ILCS 5/1) (from Ch. 48, par. 2a)
|
7 | | Sec. 1.
No restraining order , award of monetary damages, |
8 | | except for damage done to an employer's property as a result of |
9 | | conduct prohibited by law, or injunction shall be granted by |
10 | | any court of
this State in any case involving or
growing out of |
11 | | a dispute concerning terms or conditions of employment,
|
12 | | enjoining or restraining any person or persons, either singly |
13 | | or in
concert, from terminating any relation of employment or |
14 | | from ceasing to
perform any work or labor, or from peaceably |
15 | | and without threats or
intimidation recommending, advising, or |
16 | | persuading others so to do; or from
peaceably and without |
17 | | threats or intimidation being upon any public street,
or |
18 | | thoroughfare or highway for the purpose of obtaining or |
19 | | communicating
information, or to peaceably and without threats |
20 | | or intimidation persuade
any person or persons to work or to |
21 | | abstain from working, or to employ or
to peaceably and without |
22 | | threats or intimidation cease to employ any party
to a labor |
23 | | dispute, or to recommend, advise, or persuade others so to do.
