SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Innovation and Technology for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, as follows:

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
ARTICLE 1
Section 5. The amount of $25,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Innovation and Technology for all costs associated with the Illinois Century Network and broadband projects.
Section 10. The amount of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Innovation and Technology for all costs associated with the Cybersecurity Liaison Program.
Section 15. The sum of $110,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Innovation and Technology for its ordinary and contingent expenses.
Section 20. The sum of $750,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Technology Management Revolving Fund to the Department of Innovation and Technology for administrative and program expenses, including prior years’ costs.
Section 25. The sum of $10,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the DoIT Special Projects Fund to the Department of Innovation and Technology for all ordinary and contingent expenses related to information technology within the powers and duties of the Department.
Section 30. The sum of $30,200,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the DoIT Special Projects Fund to the Department of Innovation and Technology for all ordinary and contingent expenses related to addressing cybersecurity risks and cybersecurity threats as authorized by Section 70612 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, (IIJA) and any associated federal guidance.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2023.
