AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 289

 

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 289 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

    " Section 5. The amount of $673,138,100, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for early childhood education.

 

    Section 10. The following named amounts, or so much of those amounts as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes named, are appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the Division of Family and Community Services and related distributive purposes, including such federal funds as are made available by the federal government, for the following purposes:

  For early intervention ....................... $155,891,900

  For grants and administration expenses

    associated with the Maternal and Child Home

    Visiting Program............................. $9,850,300

  For grants and administrative expenses

    associated with the Healthy

    Families Program............................ $13,076,000

 

    Section 15. The following named amount, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, for the object and purpose named, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for income assistance and related distributive purposes, including such federal funds as are made available by the federal government, for the following purpose:

  For grants and administrative expenses

    associated with child care services,

    including prior year costs.................. $610,599,000

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2023.".
