SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of William Lee Deadmond Sr. of Moline,
4who passed away on December 4, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Deadmond was born to Henry Myrle and
6Mazie (Nelems) Deadmond in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 23,
71942; he served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962; he married
8Sharon Kaye VonMotz in East Moline on May 13, 1961; and
 
9    WHEREAS, William Deadmond was a machine tool operator for
10John Deere for 32 years; he was active in UAW Local 434 and
11Industrial Equipment Local #1536, serving the unions as
12president, financial secretary, and union time study engineer;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, William Deadmond was a member of Kingdom Life
15Community Church in Morrison; he enjoyed woodworking and
16remodeling old houses, and he helped build four churches; and
 
17    WHEREAS, William Deadmond was preceded in death by his
18daughter, Sherri Lea Deadmond; his granddaughter, Abigail
19Deadmond; and his sister, Phletious Eads; and
 
20    WHEREAS, William Deadmond is survived by his wife, Sharon;

1his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Rhonda Deadmond; his
2grandchildren, Jessica (David) Murray, Beth Ann (Case)
3Hemming, and Katherine Deadmond; and his great-grandchildren,
4Autumn, Taylor, Gabriel, and Moxie; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7William Lee Deadmond Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of William Deadmond as an expression
12of our deepest sympathy.
